Randolph Fired!

Mets.com and Cbssportsline.com are reporting that despite the Mets 9-6 win over the Angels last night, manager Willie Randolph, pitching coach Rick Peterson and 1st base coach Tom Nieto were fired at 3:15 am EST. Randolph will be replaced by bench coach Charlie Manuel, AAA manager Ken Oberkfell and AAA pitching coach Dan Warthen will join the big league club. Strange that the move was made in the middle of the night, nearly 2 hours after the Mets had won. A press conference is scheduled for 5pm EST at Angels Stadium.
