Many "Keeper Leagues" have different rules concerning how many keepers a team carries into next season, or has rules that certain players can't be kept again the next season, etc. Here is a list of players that may be on your leagues waiver wire that will be unrestricted free agents and could see a major increase in value over the offseason. I would consider trying to stash some of these guys for next season if you can.
2008 Free Agents "Keeper Sleepers"
QB Rex Grossman-The Bears may not look to bring him back after a career riddled with injuries and inconsistent play, but there may be a team out there that will give Rex another shot at starting.
RB Michael Turner-The Jewel of the FA RBs, think of Turner leaving the Chargers like when Priest Holmes left the Ravens, and Lamont Jordan (when he was good) left the Jets. Turner will get a starting job somewhere, has little mileage on his legs and should be a low end #1, high end #2 fantasy back next season. If he is on your waiver wire, grab him quick.
RB Julius Jones-There is a good chance Dallas keeps Jones, but this is the opportunity to hand the job to Marion Barber III and let Jones seek a starting job elsewhere. Jones would love to be a #1 guy and had great success when he was the "man" in Big D.
RB Chris Brown-Very inconsistent and injury prone, was a FA this past offseason and didn't get much attention before heading back to the Titans. He has produced in spots and could be in a teams RB platoon next season.
WR Bernard Berrian-Good chance the Bears keep him, but their conservative offense limits his big play ability, Berrian would make a great #2 WR in an offense that can spread the field and utilize his speed.
WR Patrick Crayton-Also, a good chance Dallas brings him back. Crayton has shown he can be a solid #2 WR, even though he is the third option in Dallas. A team like the 49ers or Falcons could overpay him to be a #1, Houston would also be a nice fit for him next to Andre Johnson.
WR DJ Hackett-2 high ankle sprains this season, but when healthy has been dominating, he is a tall receiver teams like. Like Crayton some team may overpay him to be their #1 but is better suited as a strong #2.
WR Bryant Johnson-Former 1st round pick, is getting some play with injuries to Bolden and Fitzgerald but, will probably look to head to a team that will utilize him more.
WR Justin Gage-Slowly becoming VY's go to guy in Tennessee, I see him more as a #2 elsewhere if he leaves music city.
WR Devery Henderson-Struggled big time this season, dropped too many passes, lost his starting job to David Patten, but he had a big 2006, out of the slot for New Orleans and some team may hope he can rebound with them.
