I was 4-2 this week, and I finished the regular season 41-19 for the season, 6-1 on Thursday games, 2-1 on Saturday games, 26-15 on Sunday games and 7-2 on Monday games. Here are this week's results;
1. New England vs. NY Giants (Sat.)
PICK: Patriots RESULT: Patriots 38-35 The Giants played their best 3 quarters of the season, but to beat the Patriots you need to play 4 of your best quarters. The G-men at one point led by 11 before letting the Patriots come back for the win, giving them a perfect 16 win regular season, causing former Dolphin Mercury Morris to call the police, because the Patriots are no lounging in his yard and using his pool.
2. Tennessee vs. Indianapolis
PICK: Titans RESULT: Titans 16-10 The Titans had a hard time competing with the Colts backups. After an injury to Vince Young, Kerry Collins came in and led the Titans to 2 FGs and the win. After 2 full seasons, is there anyone who still doubts the Texans knew what they were doing when they took DE Mario Williams over RB Reggie Bush and Young?
3. Dallas vs. Washington
3. Dallas vs. Washington
PICK: Redskins RESULT: Redskins 27-6 Tony Romo and the Cowboys continued to struggle and along with T.O. will limp into the playoffs. The Redskins go into the playoffs on a major hot streak, having beaten the Vikings, Giants and Cowboys down the stretch.
4. San Fransisco vs. Cleveland
PICK: Browns RESULT: Browns 20-7 The Browns needed some help to make the playoffs from the Colts which they didn't get. The Browns were one of this year's surprise teams and will have high expectations heading into next season.
5. Minnesota vs. Denver
PICK: Vikings RESULT: Broncos 22-19 OT The Vikings didn't come out to play this game like they wanted to be in the playoffs. The Vikes made a late game comeback, that fell short with the OT loss, and again RB Adrian Peterson was M.I.A. in a game down the stretch (3 games under 40yds in his last 4), reminding us despite his flashes of greatness he is still a rookie, and a not a player that can carry a team by himself, yet.
6. New Orleans vs. Chicago
PICK: Saints RESULT: Bears 33-25 In a battle of two of the most disappointing teams of the season, Devin Hester put on a show scoring on a pass and a punt return. With the loss the Saints missed the playoffs after being a preseason Super Bowl contender.
