I bounced back from last week, to go 4-2 this week, I'm 37-17 for the season, 6-1 on Thursday games, 1-1 on Saturday games, 23-13 on Sunday games and 7-2 on Monday games.
1. Pittsburgh vs. St. Louis (Thurs.)
PICK: Steelers RESULT: Steelers 41-24 The big news here was the Steelers' loss of NFL rushing leader, Willie Parker for the season. RB Najeh "Dookie" Davenport stepped in, and contributed 123 rushing yards and added 2 TDs. The Steelers top rated D continues to struggle despite the win.
2. Dallas vs. Carolina (Sat.)
PICK: Dallas RESULT: Cowboys 20-13 The injuries continued in this game, as Terrell Owens suffered a ankle injury, that could derail the Cowboys playoff run. A high ankle sprain typically takes 4 weeks to heal and that would put Owens back on the field for the NFC title game, but love him or hate him, never count T.O. out, this guy not only played in the Super Bowl after fracturing his fibula and spraining his ankle, but dominated in Philly's loss to New England. With the Packers' loss in Week 16 the Cowboys clinched home field throughout the playoffs.
3. Washington vs. Minnesota
PICK: Vikings RESULT: Redskins 32-21 The Vikings came into this game one of the hottest teams in the NFL, but it was the Redskins who played like the hot team, and as a result of the win control their playoff destiny. A win this week against a Dallas team that will likely rest some of their players will result in a playoff spot for the Skins.
4. Denver vs. San Diego (Mon.)
PICK: Chargers RESULT: Chargers 23-3 The Chargers only needed to play LT for a half and the Broncos left everything at home, including their pride.
5. NY Giants vs. Buffalo
PICK: Giants RESULT: Giants 38-21 This game had everything rain, sleet, snow and 50mph winds. The Bills jumped out to a 14-0 lead before the Giants took over with their running game and controlled the rest of the game. An interception for a TD by Kawika Mitchell sealed the victory and a playoff spot for the Giants.
6. Philadelphia vs. New Orleans
PICK: Saints RESULT: Eagles 38-23 The Saints couldn't afford to let the Eagles come into their home stadium and beat them, if they wanted to grab a playoff spot, and that's exactly what the Saints let happen. The Eagles spoiled the Saints attempt for a third straight victory and now the Saints need a win and some help to make the playoffs.
