NFL 6 Pack week 16 Picks

Lets hope this week goes better then last week. I'm 33-15 for the season, 5-1 on Thursday games, 0-1 on Saturday games, 22-11 on Sunday games and 6-2 on Monday games.

1. Pittsburgh vs. St. Louis (Thurs.)
The Steelers are coming off 2 tough losses and don't typically play well on the road, but the Rams don't play well at home. The Steelers need to get back on track before the playoffs start and the Rams are just playing out the sched. Both teams have a short week to prepare and recover, S-Jax had 28 touches last week compared to Willie Parker only having 16. PICK: Steelers
2. Dallas vs. Carolina (Sat.)
Dallas has struggled the past two weeks, winning one close game and losing another. The Panthers are down to their 4th QB Matt Moore and have lost 6 of their last 8. Dallas should be motivated to rebound and protect their home field advantage for the playoffs. PICK:Dallas
3. Washington vs. Minnesota
This game is basically a playoff game, with the loser likely out of the NFC mix . The Vikings are on a 5 game winning streak while the Redskins have not been able to put together a streak of more than 2 wins. The Vikings stout run D will look to shut down Portis and force QB Todd Collins to attack their weak secondary. If the Vikings can put more pressure on Collins, than the Giants did last week they will be successful in slowing the Redskins offense. The Skins need to also shut down the Vikings run game, as Peterson and Taylor have been the fire behind the recent win streak. PICK:Vikings
4. Denver vs. San Diego (Mon.)
AFC west rivals always play better than the records indicate, but the Chargers are finally starting to look like the team everyone expected them to be winning 4 straight. The Chargers have locked up a playoff spot and may look to rest LT, but he should be able to slice up the Denver run D, before Turner (if healthy) and Sproles do more of the same. PICK:Chargers
5. Philadelphia vs. New Orleans
The Saints are still in the playoff hunt in the NFC, have won 3 of their last 4 and Sean Payton has their offense scoring points like they did last season. However, the Saints defense will allow a ton of points and fantasy's new most hated player Brian Westbrook is always a threat to take over a game, when he's not downing the ball at the one. Look for this game to be a high scoring affair and the Saints to score just a little bit more. PICK:Saints
6. NY Giants vs. Buffalo
Here we go again with the struggling G-men, they need a win to clinch a NFC wildcard spot. The Giants passing game is very broken and losing Shockey will not help. The Giants will need to rely heavily on RB Brandon Jacobs to hold on to the ball and carry the offense. The Bills will be fired up with TE Kevin Everett expected to be at the game. Coughlin is coaching for his job, I know I sound like a broken record with the Giants, but they have to find a way to win. PICK:Giants
